Dave Harold has lost to World Number 8, Ali Carter at the Betfred.com World Snooker Championships (http://www.betfred.com/ ).

He returned to the table this session with renewed energy taking the first 2 frames, possibly getting inspiration from his beloved Stoke, which hours earlier made their first FA Cup Final - a card, signed by the team has been his good luck mascot during the match.

In a dogged display, he pushed Carter in the 12th frame, looking for 2 snookers to go 8-4, however, the original 8-1 deficit was always going to be difficult to turn around and the World 54 lost 10-3
