my rather minimalistic instrumental of 'gun street girl'by tom waits...i took the oakland 96 live performance as a basis for my interpretation, not the well known studio recording...

this track develops over a single chord, probably B-minor, if my guitar was tuned correct at the time ( which I doubt, hehe ), nobody will ever need a fucking tab for that one. period. leave me alone, amateurs!

y'know, i'm actually tempted to add some vocals over-top of this wonderful cover just cuz it's a damn shame to skip out on the amazing lyrics waits wrote for this tune. would you mind if i did so? don't plan on posting it to youtube or anything like that, just a sorta 'for-me' thing. although i AM currently doing vocals for a cover-song album with some more instrumentally-inclined friends (waits - 'trampled rose', cave - 'deanna', costello - 'pills & soap', and so on).
