What do you usually use for bass? Do you sample or use a garage band bass? I always want a smooth bass line in my beat but I can never decide what to use.

i love your tutorials, if time permits in youtube videos, would love to see once you have your samples, actually recording the beat. do you normally put your whole beat on a single track in that case, just out of interest? or keep the kicks separate from snares etc? thanks!

@wigglywig1 I sometimes put the kick and snare on one track. I like to play them together. But they should be on separate tracks if you want to mix it down right.
