http://www.keepmecurly.com - Check out my blog for more fun hair style ideas and natural hair care tips! This collection of photos shows the journey that my daughter and I have gone on with her hair. You can see how much her hair has grown in the last 3 1/2 years since we adopted her and how much I have improved in caring for and styling her hair. I admit I was pretty clueless in the beginning, but I have learned a lot, and I hope that my girls always love their hair and know how beautiful they are! I haven't taken pictures of EVERY hairstyle we ever did, this is just a sample. 8 Months ago we decided to put braidlocs in B's hair. She has really enjoyed having them and the versatility they allow her. They are very easy to care for, we just tighten them with the latch hook method about every 6 weeks. In the pictures you can see her parts really well because they were JUST tightened and they are a bit damp. After a few days, the parts aren't so obvious.

  • are B and V the same age?

  • @lebriae - no, B is 2 years older than V. People think they are twins or can't tell who is older all the time. Poor B. She is taller than V, but not by much. If you knew their personalities, you would know that B is older :)

  • dont you think that you pull her hair too tight.. there is more scalp then hair in some pictures??

  • @KiwiMangoHusband - no, I think the way I cornrow actually prevents the hair from being pulled to tight. I think the reason so much scalp shows on B is just because she has extremely fine hair and it isn't that thick.

  • so adorable, you must pick up beads all the time

  • I love all the hairstyles but are those beads sore at night?? I got my hair done like that when I was really little but I can't remember anyway good job :)

  • You do such a great job! And it also looks like you are doing a great job raising your children♥ Cutos!

  • @guineapiglove444 - personal preference. I just didn't like the way the turned out. They look better in the pictures than in real life and I didn't like the way the felt, or the way they tangled up over time etc.

  • @Katelynylyn Scalpiness is one of my problems with my own hair. I look at other girls with thick heads of hair and I'm like, no fair lol. Your daughters are just so cute, and you are doing such an amazing job with their hair, wanna do mine? lol jk.

  • i love the hair.. yeah the but all that work to get it to grow the you lock it..

  • I love her styles!!!

  • You won't have to worry about it for B, because of her locs, but doing the "latch hook" thing is actually easier if you use a crochet hook. It is a nice way to get two or three looks out of a single set of cornrows. Look it up and see what you think.
