A short and a bit shaky video of my Edge CS Programmer on the 87 tow level 2 canned tune. The Edge Evolution CS full color screen programmer is sitting in the Ford F150 dash pod for 2004-2008 Ford trucks. Its a great fitting pod and it really hides the unit from people on the outside looking in. I am still waiting for my Gryphon custom tune. It is displaying the instant MPG, the trans fluid temperature, and the cylinder head temperature. I am driving a 2007 Ford F150 with a 6" Pro Comp Stage II lift and 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers.

  • Nice! I like that readout. So awesome. I just got my first truck which is a 2007 F-150 with the 5.4L V8 and I'm thinking of getting this chip soon. How did it do on power increase? And how was fuel mileage?

  • @TheTerminator310 So here is the info I have. Apples to Apples I only added the HyperTech tuner with the same wheels/tire combo. Before and after that it was a big difference to me. I could chirp tires while high revving getting on to highway in 2 and I think 3rd one time.

Then I went to 35" tires and at same time added the Edge programmer. I can't chirp tires anymore but I can say most if not all of the acceleration is still there. Overall I gained about 1mpg using the Edge CS w/ custom tunes

  • Yea I was just cruising and coasting to a stop light. I was in awe when I first installed it I was just happy watching it. Ha!

Now I have the custom tunes installed and so now I really get on it.

  • why are you running it on the level 2 setting thats the tow setting? i just got the same cs programmer today with my lifted f150 and i want to know what settings i should run it on for daily driving and better gas milage??

  • do they come for the 4.6? how much.

  • how much was it? i think i want one

  • did adding the programmer get rid of the throttle lag

  • what kind of exhaust do you have?

  • @joeldude76 yes, as joeldude says. it also can tell me the current state of my variable cam timing as well as what gear I am in and if my diff is locked.

  • @mstep3 mine does i have one in my 2000 gmc sierra

  • it has the ability to tell you transmission fluid temperature without having to add a sensor? does it just pull the info from the onboard computer off the OBDII connection?
