If I had heard this when I was 12 when it first aired, I would have flipped out. I was a HUGE Ren and Stimpy fan back then.

didn't Billy bash the hell out of this guy years later?

@saretardedfilms : that's more than Billy will ever create... John K did a lot more for Billy than Billy ever did for John K...

The true losers are the people who liked Ren and Stimpy... that cartoon was truly amazing during it's first season... Simpsons-level amazing! It turned into total dogshit after John K left. Billy West is good, but he wasn't good enough to carry R&S by any means...

Wow i absolutely LOVE this interview so far! First time hearing it for me; I remember Stern being in his golden years throughout the 90's but that was during my childhood. I didn't start really getting into Stern until I accidentally came across his E! show one time! I loved Ren & Stimpy though as a kid...

Howard really did his best to pit these two against each other. He and Robin egged these guys on.

Billy is a brilliant voice artist, an intelligent person, and one of the few actually MODEST celebrities out there. John K. is a piece of shit and Ren & Stimpy is the only good creation that he has OR ever will produce.

@RANDYSEXER I'm not sure that Stern's show paid much to anyone but Howard and Robin in those years. I remember a clip on youtube where Gary is making like 80 or 90k, in like '96. That is good pay, but the show made a lot more then that. Can't imagine what he paid West.

I love Howard but he's an idiot for not doing whatever it took to keep Billy on the show. He was so funny and probably the most evil motherfucker that's ever worked on the show. Love him.

this whole bit is almost unlistenably awkward...but that's the beauty of ninties era stern...take these horrific, unimaginable scenarios that make the average person squirm and yell at the radio and turn it into entertainment...fuck man...
In the end.. i think john is just bitter.. rightuflly so.. but i don't think it was an orchestration of billy west.. it was the studios and the media who made billy more synonymous with r&s in the latter years (to the majority of fans who otherwise didn't know)

i won't assume to know a lot about both guys.. but just on what i've seen on these youtube videos
Bily west seems to be a really nice guy considering the amount of fame he's accumulated.. he seems to really love and be proud of all his characters.. even if he didn't draw them he brought them to life, and always seems to take time to talk with his fans.. he's an artist in his own write.. he doesn't claim to draw the shit
