Find out how to play almost all video formats from 1 media player. MPEGs, AVIs, DVDs, Quicktime, Real Media, MKVs, OGGs, OGMs, all from 1 video player. Then learn how to improve video quality using Direct Show.

Note: The codecs from this video allow you to play supported formats usnng ANY Direct Show software. That includes Media Player, Winamp, Zoom Player, etc.

  • can't see some subtitles :/

  • Sorry about that, I'll make them bigger next time. The links are available in the show notes if you visit the website.

  • on the end of the video there is a mistake spotted instead of twistedtechtv u wrote in the video twistedttech.

    horrendous mistake.

  • Yeah I know. Spotted it after it was posted.

  • It's a little more complicated than just installing a player like VLC but you get to control Direct Show settings and ffdshow has lots of useful video filters. Having said that I actually use VLC on my other computer. It's a good player.

  • Just thought I'd point out that the URL given in the video displays "TwistedTTech.tv" - simple typo that I thought would be appreciated to know of. ^^;

  • Oops Thanks! ^.^;

  • Video playback lags when I play .mkv files. When I use Divx to play the movie it says "Filed to create media display device playback of this media is not supported by the display hardware" When I use Windows media player 11, VLC, Total video player or Windows media classic it lags badly. Why does the video lags? is it because of my computer or I missed some codecs? I really want to watch Final Fantasy!

  • i downloaded those codecs and now ic ant even use windows media player. Thats what I get for trusting the internet.

  • thank you so much now i can watch my naruto series lol ^^
