John Denver's Music has inspired me for decades. I can remember as a young boy singing along with "Rocky Mountain High" and "Sunshine on My Shoulders."
As an adult, I have come to appreciate the poetry and timeless lyrical relevance in his music.

Yes, it was very emotional for me, as well. I was just there two weeks ago. At every stone that bore a lyric, I hummed the song and cried. They were tears mourning his absence from my life but also tears of joy for the beauty that he brought to my life. I've been a fan from childhood and visiting the John Denver Sanctuary was something I have needed to do for years. I lost track of time while I was there. John's music has that effect on me. It frees the soul and allows one to just be.
