REAL PEOPLE. REAL PLANS.
Recently, Philam Life asked its planholders to write their personal stories.

One of those stories was that of of an OFW, told by his 14-year old daughter, Deorie.

Like may Pinoy OFWs, Deorie Caraca's dad was often away overseas, sacrificing his time with his family so he could provide them with a better life.

He was often on a ship for eight months or more every year. But whenever he had a chance to return to the Philippines, he always made sure to spend quality time with his family -- especially with his kids, Ginger and Deorie.

In January 15, 2008, after a long stint at sea, Deorie's dad went back home. When he arrived, Deorie, her sister Ginger and her mom were overjoyed. As usual, they did all the things they usually loved to do whenever he came back, from eating out to shopping.

One thing was different though -- he was always coughing.

Little did they know that the cough was caused by what the doctors would later diagnose as Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

Four months after, Deorie's dad passed away.

Despite his passing, however, his dreams live on.

Deorie's dad made sure to plan ahead for their financial security. He also planned for Deorie and her sister's education by investing in an educational plan from Philam Life.

Today, Deorie is a consistent honor student and an aspiring musician. Her sister Ginger is doing just as well in school.

Watch her touching story and be moved at how she faced life's adversity like an adult.

No stars. No celebrities. No socialites or media personalities.
Just ordinary people with extraordinary stories.

These are the stories of Philam Life's policyholders and plan beneficiaries.
Simple, personal, true-to-life stories that show that the best way to protect your future or make your dream come true is to get the right advice and have the right plan.

Deorie is one of 40,000 students who benefited from Philam Life's education pay-outs. Her dad invested in an educational plan, Scholar Gold, for her and her sister Ginger. Scholar Gold will provide cash benefits every semester for both of their college education.

Deorie's story is just one of the many real-life stories of how the country's number one life insurer was able to help its policyholders and beneficiaries.

If you too are a Philam Life policyholder or beneficiary and somehow your plan was able to protect your future or help your dreams come true, tell us your story.

Who knows, you could serve as the next inspiration for others to plan their lives ahead too.

May plano ka na ba? Anong plano mo? Usap tayo.
