Elvis Presley They Remind Me Too Much of You
Written by Don Robertson for Elviss 1963 movie It Happened at the Worlds Fair. Elvis recorded it on September 22, 1962 at Radio Recorders. The single release had a 4-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 chart, peaking at #53. It was the B-side to One Broken Heart for Sale. It is available on Elvis in Hollywood, Elvis Sings Hits From His Movies, Elvis: The Other Sides-Worldwide Gold Award Hits, Vol. 2, It Happened at the Worlds Fair Soundtrack, Elvis at the Movies, and Command Performances: The Essential 60s Masters II, which is where this version is from.

Take away the scent of flowers
Cover up the sky of blue
Close my ears to tender love songs
They remind me too much of you

Hide young lovers' warm embraces
Keep stars and moonlight from my view
Let me forget there are such places
They remind me too much of you

Must I evermore be haunted?
Day after day, my whole life through
By the memory of each moment
That I spent alone with you

If these lovely things don't hurt you
Our love just wasn't meant to be
But please come back to me, my darling
If they remind you too much of me
