The new year brings with it The Drops' new spring album: "Flying Dutchmen".
The Drops, the insider tip of the indie music scene, juggles with musical influences
from the last 50 years of pop history and gets us ready, at least musically, for the
spring of 2012. And you won't find any traces of an apocalyptical atmosphere.
With a lot of passion and charm the four band members from Basel play themselves
into the hearts of their audience. These four musicians have performed on various
stages in different countries like France, Germany and Switzerland, and have
captivated their audiences with their music.
They will now present their debut album "Flying Dutchmen".

Recorded with the scene record producers Philippe Laffer (Zhivage, Supernova) and
Thomas Rechberger (Lovebugs, Supernova), The Drops are the youngest band in
the Basel Alterna Recording Studio to date.
Their first album is full of danceable songs with catchy melodies, which are infused
with the distinctive sounds of reverberating guitars and pulsing rythms.
Despite numerous promises and offers, a label deal has failed to come through -- a
challenge for those who invest into profitable causes.
However instead of admitting defeat, Noah, Kevin, Oliver and David are taking
matters into their own hands. Their aim is to spread the "Popappeal" of the album
while treading unknown waters and discovering the world.
