Yes, of course! Android is open source and totally configurable. There are numerous third party home screens and launchers available, and many are free. Look up “Android" on Wikipedia....Changing wallpapers isn't even worthy of mention, it goes without saying.

I have a question about android phones. I have an iphone 4 but Im thinking of getting either an android phone to run along side my i4 OR a tablet that runs android.
in every video or photo Ive seen of android devices, I notice that none of them have custom icons or wallpapers. so my question is.
Q. can you customize the home screen (icons AND wallpapers) on an android phone? if some of you have it on yours, can you PM me with links to pix or vids.

Why is there no pinch and unpinch? did Apple patent it? Just accept it already - it works well, Apple or not.

@scottylans Back then, there were some intellectual property issues, but this has apparently been worked out.
