  • Great game! Thanks for the video! What is your opinion on the expansion?

  • @jgarcia0417 I tried it, but I don't think the game needs it. I find that there's enough variety and interest in the base game.

  • I am looking for a strategy game that fits these components...now im not some stickler on what games i like but i am looking for a new game.

I want a strategy game with the lightness and comedy of Guillotine

WIth the Abstract atmosphere of Small World

With the dynamic of Puerto Rico just more user friendly

With tons of different options and cards!

i hope this isnt a pain in the ass...just think of some great games if possible...

    thanks

  • @noircei16 The one game I can think of that meets these criteria is Glory to Rome. It's not as strong in the comedy department.

  • Hey Scott, have you ever tried any of the expansions for Puerto Rico?

  • @Darklordbrink I played once with one with trees. I didn't care for it, so I stick to the base game.

  • Scott, you really do a fantastic job of not only explaining the rules and flow of games but also a great job through your explaining about whether or not I'd be interested in any game you're talking about. Excellent work, my friend - please keep it up!

  • Killer intro, sweet bass riff.

  • Great review, and you're absolutely right about explaining the GOAL first. A lot of reviewers (surprisingly) do not understand this, and it forces the viewer to watch the video several times before they even understand any of it.

  • You know what is a hilarious irony? I am a Puerto Rican and this game is NOT sold in Puerto Rico and it is neither available in Spanish. Anyhow I'll be buying this really soon over Ebay or somewhere else, I am amazed at the strategic gameplay it seems to possess. It far surpasses the crap we have over in America; like Stratego and Risk. lol !!!

  • Great review!!

  • @MPthe1 It really depends on how well they know the game. If you have to teach all of them, they will most likely be more deliberate in their actions leading to a longer game. 4 people = about 2 - 2.5 hours.

  • How long does a game last for, lets say, 4 persons?

  • What would be a good way to make this game a bit easier (less overwhelming) in the first play for beginners?

I was thinking of not considering the special functions of buildings.

Another option would be to take out the captain, and only get points by building.

    Any thoughts?

  • Awesome rule description.

  • Awesome!!! I really enjoyed your explanation of the game. I was thinking about getting the game. Now I'm definitely going to buy it!

  • If you play a good game with annoying people you're going to have a bad time mmmkay?
