The Chairman of the Tibet Religious Foundation of the Dalai Lama in Taiwan, Dawa Tsering, spoke to NTD's Taipei team about the repression of Budhism under the communist party in Mainland China. Heres what he had to say...
Today the head of the Chinese communist partys department of religion Ye Xiaowen came to Taiwan to conduct a forum on cross straight relations of religion. We spoke to the Chairman of the Tibet Religious Foundation of the Dalai Lama in Taiwan, who felt the communist regime had more sinister motives behind conducting the forum.

[Dawa Tsering, Dalai Lama Representitave]
We must prevent this type of exchange being used by the CCP as a mean of unification. But dont be completely deceived by the CCP, this is rather important as fundamentally, CCP is an enemy to the Buddhist teaching.

Head of the communist partys department of religion, who came to Taiwan, was actually sued when he went to the United States, by practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual practice, for inciting hatred against them.

[Dawa Tsering, Dalai Lama Representitave]
Chinese government basically is a totalitarian government, they see religion as a form of opium or addictive drugs; more over, in the past, destroying all kinds of religion has been seen a great responsibility by the CCP itself. Under the rule of the CCP in Tibet, over 1.2 million civilians have been killed and over 6000 temples have been destroyed.

Mr Tsering believes uses religion for political motives

[Dawa Tsering, Dalai Lama Representitave]
Because politics are ruining religion. Its not that religious people want to get involved in politics, they get involved for the purpose of kicking out politics from religion.

The Chinese communist representative brought over 2000 supposed religious believers with him from China, including some from Tibet, yet Mr Tsering hadnt heard of any of them before. As Mr Tsering is the head of the Tibetian Religeous Foundation in Taiwan and a representative of the Dalai Lama, one would expect him to be invited, yet he wasnt. He had his own opinion on the function of the attendees of the conference.

[Dawa Tsering, Dalai Lama Representitave]
And most possibly, they may be used by the CCP, using the bad people in Buddhism to destroy Buddhist teaching, destroying the image of Buddhist teaching in everyday peoples mind. That is why it is important to separate religion from politics, let Buddhism be Buddhism and let politics by politics, it is a very important point.

  • @ikhamo The Buddhists in China, including Tibetan Buddhists have forgotten the words of wisdom of Buddhas. Leus hearts are full of attachments and desires that are the cause of their suffering.

Siddhartha Gautama taught us how to live without suffering the USA, China, Iran or Ethiopia

  • @ikhamo

The Fa Lungong doesn't use religion for political motives.

They didn't celebrate the Sichuan earth quake.

They never tell a single lie.

They never provide forged documentation to assist illegal immigrants.

They never pay mobs to join protest rallies.

    They do not...

  • Once upon a time, when the poor, commoner Tibetans from India would go to Taiwan to find work in order to support their families back home, the dalai clique would falsely accuse these hard working people as being a " traitor" and " chinese spy" and

" chinese bribe taker." I suppose they are not traitors no more.

  • China´s World Buddhist Forum is for CCP-people only.

Chinese Panchen is praising the Chinese Communist Party.( On the second forum, 2009, in English.)

The Dalai Lama was excluded both times. Representatives of Shugden Deity worshippers, opposed to the Dalai Lama, were invited... The Dalai Lama is labeled as a "disruptive element".

  • China´s World Buddhist Forum is a joke,

Only Buddhist groups opposed to the Dalai Lama are invited.

  • did you see how that fat bastard CCP leader pushed the lady with the mic to the side? come to west son and get an hk mp5 jabbed up ur a*se for f**king around with journalists like that.

  • I wish Master Hsing Yun got out of this. He used to speak out against Tibetan repression, now all their human rights voices are silenced...
