  • I remember protein pronounced as "pro-tee-in" when I was child in the '60's. I was surprised when it was changed to "pro-teen" in the '70's. I don't know how old you are but "pro-tee-in" is just one of the many ways American life has changed drastically since the '60's. I remember when "luncheon" was used instead of "lunch" and I'm not even 50 yet.

What comments will you read in 20 years saying something current sounds quaint "lol" :-)?

  • I hear you, Audiophile (pun not originally intended but, now, it is :-)! It's great to relive some memories associated with '60's shows that I saw firsthand and see political/cultural/fashion tics that I wasn't aware of before. I love being an armchair sociologist and historian, seeing things in my past that I never knew were there before.

Audio, continue enjoying these shows! Like Jed Clampett said, "Set a spell! Take your shoes off! Y'all come back now, hear?" :-)

  • The powdered milk commercial reminded me of when I spent weekends at my dad's. That was the only milk he kept around the house and to this day powdered milk is still the worst shit I've ever drank in my life.

  • RIP Harry

  • @bigred997 Yes, this is an unforgiving industry. Jerry Van Dyke, who had so much promise, failed with "My Mother the Car" in 1965 abd worse with "Accidential Family" two years later. It was 20 years before he could redeem himself in "Coach". About this series , Harry Morgan said it best in a 1967 TV Guide interview "Let's just say I wasn't sorry to see it end"

  • Kinder , gentel time in U S , no guns to speak of, no crack..I use to watch this inocent style show ..days gone by..

  • O. K. I dare anyone to name ALL eleven television series that Harry Morgan was a regular in. I will give you two of the toughest "The D.A." (1971) and Heck Ramsey (1972)

  • I love this show but why is'nt there any episodes of december bride, the show that this one was spun-off from....it was funny too!

  • @Juliaflo Drew Barrymore is her step-daughter.

  • The opening announcer (title/sponsor I.D.) is Bob LeMond, 'bgmnzz'.

  • Phone home and name the actoress connected to Cara Williams.
