  • I am a proud owner of z906 and i am fully satisfied by its performance and crystal clear sound quality ^_^

  • how big is the subwoofer?

  • @Tenkin89 and if I did, I wouldn't buy power hungry devices. You might care about it, that's cool. It's personal opinion at the end of the day. Cheers.

  • @Tenkin89 There's no need to get personal over a discussion about a set of speakers by posting insults on my page and then blocking me! I didn't say I knew everything about them, I was making a judgement based on the knowledge I have. There are some very good and trusted reviews that can be found online if you know where to look. At the end of the day, audio is often down to personal opinion. I prefere a more powerful sub, you might not. I don't care about how much power they use

  • @Tazza17 So, you saw the Z906 on the internet, now you know everything about them ? I own the Z906, my friend had the Z5500. I know both very well.

They didn't downgrade the system as such - well, maybe material wise. They made the sub smaller, but there is still just as much kick.

Many hifi enthusiasts stated the sub of the Z5500 was a bit muddy. Afaik, they made the Z906 more tight.

More watts was put on the speakers to deliver better quality.

Also, I give a shit about my powerbill.

    Sup ?

  • @Tenkin89 Input connections are also better in wiring up and holding them. Z906 was built under cutting production costs. You say 'power usage was cut down' - who gives a shit about power usage. If you want to be environmentally friendly go and buy an eco-tv or something!

  • @Tenkin89 I've used the z-5500 for over 5 years for 5.1 as well as stereo. Having seen when the z906 came out and having read the reviews for this 'new' surround system it's not as good for the following: First off, the sub from the z909 is a lot smaller so you don't get as much bass and realism when watching films. So it's less powerful for starters. Z-5500 console is better, it has a screen which is always going to be better than LEDs.

  • Even though i do not own a set of z906 speakers, by the looks of it, my z5500 are better. I say this because my sub is alot bigger (10") and bigger subs mean more heart pounding vibrations, not to mention it being more powerful. Also, the console is better, it holds all the input connections making it easier to wire up and it has a screen which is always gonna be better than LEDs. All in all it looks like logitech have built these by taking the Z5500 and cutting production costs.

  • @Tazza17 You said the Z-906 isn't as good as the Z-5500. So I ask, what do you know about that ?

Good can be described in several ways. Sure they may have used other materials, that doesn't mean they don't sound better.

Also, the power usage was cut down a lot, maintaining almost the same watts. What about that ? It's like people go "I want that Ferrari!" without thinking about the cost in gas and insurance.

  • @Tenkin89 About what?
