These people had illustrious acting careers, but their finest hour was in FT, as confirmed whenever the BBC announced their death: "...but they will probably be best remembered for their appearance in Fawlty Towers" - every one of them! I can just imagine John and Connie thinking about who to cast "Who was that pompous officer that was in Room At The Top? Let's get him to play Colonel Hall!"
