What Went Wrong, Part Three.
I pulled away from the kiss and I know there was no use in trying to hide the smile that was creeping onto my face. "You promise?" I asked, hopefully. He smiled and kissed my forehead, "I promise." And at that moment, I've truly never felt more safe. Nothing could harm me now. I had my boyfriend and my best friend, and he was the same guy. He knew everything about me. He knew about the cutting, he knew about me losing weight, and he helped me through it. I smiled at him, and he smiled back. "So does this mean you're my girlfriend?" he asked, anxious for my answer. I pulled him into a hug and whispered in his ear, "I'm all yours." He tightened his grip on the hug and spun me around. "You won't regret this Demi, I'm going to be the best boyfriend you ever had." I smiled because I believed him. He never gave me a reason to doubt his word. I looked at him and took a deep breath. "Are we going public with this, or what?" He looked at me like I had just asked him the most stupid question ever. "Right, no public relationships, I know.." I said. He shook his head. "Are you crazy? It would be stupid of me to NOT want to show you off to the world. Of course I want this relationship to be public. I'm proud of us. Of course, you might get a lot of death threats.." He laughed, jokingly, well kind of, I probably would, but I didn't care. "Okay, so we're public," I said. I then looked at my phone and realized it was getting late but also remembered that I had to be on set early tomorrow for Sonny With A Chance to shoot the music video for the new song "Me, Myself, and Time." I looked up at Joe, "I need to get back to the hotel, I'm shooting early tomorrow for my new music video." He nodded and started heading towards his car, but with his hand out waiting for me to grab it. I intertwined our fingers and smiled. "Hey, is there anyway I can come watch you shoot your video?" Joe asked. I smiled, "You could do more than that, you can be in it. My music video is just me singing to an audience, so I mean, you can be part of the audience, if you wanted.." A big smile formed on his face. "DUH I WANT TO! I'm your biggest fan babe," he said with a smirk.
We finally got back to my hotel. "So, pick me up tomorrow, at 9:30?" I asked. He smiled, "I'll be here. Even though you won't be out here until like 9:45," he said jokingly. I laughed, "Well bye, babe." He leaned in and kissed me, "Bye beautiful." I got out of the car and once I made it back into my room, I screamed. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. "Ouch!" I exclaimed when the pinch hurt me, but then I quickly smiled because this wasn't a dream. I needed to call my girl best friend, Miley. I also wanted to tell Selena but her and I just don't talk as much so I decided to just call Miley. I dialed her number, anxiously waiting for her answer. "AYO DEMS! What's up baby?! How was the --" I couldn't let her finish her sentence. "JOE AND I ARE DATING!" I blurted out with a smile on my face. We both screamed. "FINALLY JOE SEES WHAT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!" she said, jokingly. I laughed. "Yeah, and we're going public!" Right when I said that, I wanted to take it back. I know Miley and I knew that upset her. She was with Nick for so long and he never wanted to go public, but Joe and I haven't even been dating for 2 hours and he's okay with it. "Miles.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to rub it in your face like --" She cut me off. "It's cool Demi, I'm over that whole Nick thing, whatever, right? I have Liam now, speaking of, he's walking over, so subject change?" I laughed. "Well anyways, I'm going to bed, I just wanted to let you know before the internet does." She laughed. "Well thanks for the update boo, I'll call you tomorrow, night!" And she hung up. I changed into my pajamas and fell asleep with the biggest smile on my face.
