Love the Gumball, I am in college right now and can only dream of what it must be like. The closest I can get now is cruising in my friend's modded 2006 BMW 325i and my other friend's 2003 Subaru WRX STI. Not bad cars at all, it's just not the Gumball :)

I've read a few things on the site, but how would you actually get into the race? I know it costs a pretty penny...

Last year was $120,000 US, but that was because of the logistics. This year, the race is in May in the U.S. and the entry fee is 44,000 per car (2) people, with an additional $22,000 for each person.

The entry fee includes accommodation in a 5-star hotel each night, including the night of registration 1st of May 2009 throughout the week, until 7th May. This includes all breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as several parties.

2009 Gumball Route Announced! LA to Miami!

With key check-points and parties on route in Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Dallas, and New Orleans, the 2009 event will combine automobiles with music, film, and entertainment throughout the 3000 miles, closing the streets in each city to create a full-on Gumball festival.

team DK will be starting up in a couple of years, depending on if i do grad school or med school.

i'm stuck with my e90 chassis 2006 330xi, but i love it. i'd take her on the race but i need to get a new set of rims and tires. btw, for all you college boys out there, stay in college, its fucking worth it. i'm only a freshman and i'm having the time of my life. oh, and anyone that wants on team DK when we start doing gumball, just let me know
