"Is Web 2.0 essential for peer production?"
Yochai Benkler was one of the top speakers at the Wizards of OS conference in Berlin, September 14, 2006. He was in Berlin for only about 20 hours. The morning after the conference, he gave politik-digital.de a pre-breakfast interview. He told Thomas Praus and Peter Bihr a thing or two about information freedom and commons-based peer production. I suspect that "Web 2.0" is a way for the uber-clique to more effectively dominate and manipulate the internet, because there is too much freedom of speech and thought on the present internet for their narcissistic comfort.
