That's ridiculous. A nice Cessna 152 is less. Shit, for that kind of price, I could get a decent twin!
-
carbon or not, it is expensive. but it still has an ultralight rating, and if i am not mistaken, eliminates maintenance requirements that certified aircraft need. also, you technically do not need a pilot rating to fly in the ultralight catagory. so you get the best of both worlds. an aircraft that looks and flys like an airplane, and you get to fly without a cert.

you can get ehe sub sonex jet for almost that price :s

This is a joke right?
Mister, you need to give your head a shake.
42K for that BFUGLY machine?
-
its ok. i thought you were try to compare the take off performance of the ultra light compared to the Cherokee needing a runway vs. the ultra light just needing a patch of land.
no Harm done =)
have a good one!

Oh you mean a piper Cherokee??? Sorry I thought you were talking about the car. Yes a piper Cherokee can fly without a cannon or catapult. Lol. I should know I've flown one.
-
yes as a matter of fact , the Cessna too.
..says it in the descriptions on ebay. but i think you might have to use a runway.=) i
if i wanted to fly something made out of re-bars and tin cans i would go to home depot. and id just make the wings out of epoxy resin and Kevlar cloth.

-
