But Japanese FOOD has no connection with the pearl harbour bombings. To try and foist a connection between them IS racist because you imply that anything that has any connection to Japan has been somehow affected by the actions of some soldiers on one specific day.

You might as well say "Look, Japan attacked us. That's why I refuse to talk to my Japanese friends on Pearl Harbour day. But I'm not racist!"
