The Nutty Professor, arguably Jerry Lewis' best directorial effort, was released on June 4, 1963. While the film is a loose parody of Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it has been said that the character of Buddy Love was a skewering of his former show business partner Dean Martin.

Jerry Lewis ranks up there with Jim Carey and Robin Williams as one of the truly great actors who can perform both comedy and drama at the top level. that was a great movie and Jerry is the reason.

@Sportsdogs1 Unless you've seen "Slapstick (Of Another Kind)". Worst movie I've watched in my entire life. The entertainment value was based soley on the fact that it was beyond terrible.

@abdulahadteli The movie you're looking for is It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World directed by Stanley Kramer in 1963. Almost every famous comedian, at the time, was in the movie.
