Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry paid a visit to the state capitol in Madison, WI to headline a rally for Barack Obama on Tuesday October 14, 2008. Kerry spent the day visiting several communities across Wisconsin pushing the democratic presidential ticket. Kerry mentioned how the crowd was a little smaller than the 80,000 who came out for him just before election day in 2004. Kerry won Wisconsin in 2004 by less than 1 % of the vote. Also on hand were Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI-02), Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk and Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz.

I managed to stumble on this speech to see the end on my way to class. He seemed more fired up about obama being president than when he was running himself!

It was an awesome speech, and I was lucky enough to be right up in front.
