believe it or not this video was captured on a beautiful sunny day. It was shot at about 80' the top 50'-65' was thick with algae yeilding 2'-4' of visability, almost no natural daylight penetrated to this depth we were in complete darkness at 1:00 in the afternoon. The Lobed Sea Gooseberry is a type of Comb Jelly. I oridinally thought it was bioluminescent but i have learned that the colours produced are the tiny cilia on its body which pulsate and flash when the light from my leds hit them still a cool effect I was facinated by them and almost lost my buddy when i spent 3-4 min. shooting video and stills. This video was shot on a canon g7 in a wp-dc11 housing using my home built led lights on 20" flex arms.
