RoboCop The Series 1x13 - RoboCop Versus Commander Cash

OCP's advertising mascot cash cow Commander Cash is set to make a live appearance, meanwhile a recent surge of child-perpetrated Commander Cash merchandise-related crimes have been dogging Delta City. Hell breaks loose at the appearance as the kids riot and loot at Commander Cash's instruction, and it's up to Murphy to track down the muscle-suited icon and uncover the method behind this madness.

This episode features famous pro wrestler "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as Commander Cash.

When Executive Producer Kevin Gillis (who also helped pen the lyrics for the ending theme "A Future To This Life") read the concept for Commander Cash, it was his idea to have it animated, and hired Canadian animation company Nelvana (known for, among other things including anime dubs, the Care Bears and the Star Wars Holiday Special's animated segment) to produce the commercials.

In the mall riot many kids can be seen running around with a particular item, the 12" Audiotronic RoboCop produced by Toy Island in 1993 to coincide with the release of RoboCop 3. Not too surprising to see that "OCP" is producing toys based on their very own RoboCop.

The colors on the Commander Cash logo outside his hideout are reversed. The inner C should be green, and the outer C yellow.

The Nitey Nite Pal and Eliminator 3000 (along with many other Commander Cash products) were all featured in Commander Cash segments in previous episodes.

RoboCop The Series and Robocop prime directives was both good shows

RoboCop The Series was PG and Robocop prime directives was PG13 and had gore.

what is up with Commander Cash's hairpiece? it looks real awkward LOL. In real life super hero entertainment (Batman, Iron Man etc you know what I mean) no way would Commander Cash be taken that serious LOL but I have been surprised in the past :P

Sting should jump ship to WWE and bring RoboCop with him and then they should charm Roddy Piper into coming back as Commander Cash, then again maybe TNA could use that amazing concept I've pitched instead.
