Steele Knights 2010 5A Div II State Football Championship - 2nd Half

Highlights from the second half 2010 5A Div II Texas State Football Championship Game between the Cibolo Steele Knights and the Denton Guyer Wildcats. After a 10 week regular season, 64 teams from 32 districts entered the 6 week long playoff season. Both the Knights and the Wildcats where in just their 5th year of varsity football and both were in just their first year of class 5A. On Saturday, December 18th 2010 at 4:00 pm, both teams met at Cowboys Stadium for the championship game.

With just 2:33 left to go in the game, Steele scores a touchdown to reclaim the lead. Guyer takes the following kickoff and drives the field, poised to strike back, when the Knights make a clutch interception on their own 7 yard line. However, the Knights need to make a first down in order to win the game......

My hands were shaking so badly at the end, that the "live" footage is nearly unwatchable, however, I left in in to impart how exciting and intense the final moments of the game were....
