  • Sorry, I don't remember for sure, but it is more than what is actually used in the scene. I had a master establishing shot, and then after just watching it again I see the close up of both the guy and the girl, an extreme close up of the guy, and kind of a medium shot with both of them in it. I'm sure I also shot an ECU of the girl and probably another medium shot from the other side. Hope that helps a little.

  • Not sure what u mean by sth, but u may be right that I didn't use a traditional master shot, but I did use the master shot technique. Google it. Did u have a question or something? I'm not sure what you're getting at.

  • sth i think means "something"

but is there a difference between a master shot and a master shot technique?

  • The "master shot technique" is a way to shoot a scene as I described below. A "master shot" is usually a long shot that establishes the setting and all participating characters. It is one of many shots done using the "master shot technique" along with close-ups, etc. Does that make sense?

  • so... where are those master shots?

  • This was shot using the "master shot technique", which involves shooting the entire scene multiple times @ different distances and angles. The point is to get plenty of footage to edit with various shots, while also mainting continuity. I decided to not use the master shot since the room was so small. Glad I could teach ya something.

  • how many shots did it take to complete the scene (i need ans for homework =3)

  • This really helped. I have to use this technique in my next video project, but I had no idea what it was. Thanks! The acting was really good in this too; I was actually scared. That's crazy how I can watch millions of professional movies that don't scare me and get creeped out by a 2 min. clip, lol

  • this was pretty good

  • Teach sth? Wikipedia tells sth different than you. Long-take, Master-shot? Did you mean sth? I think your video is not a master shot. Am I right or not?
