SYNOPSIS

Alley Talk is made up of Samantha Tan on vocals, Clarence Yeo on guitar and Shawn Kok on percussion. They are a trio of good friends who enjoy creating music magic together. Adventurous and somewhat cheeky, they will be performing daring renditions of their favourite Christmas tunes and anthems, with a charismatic concoction of multiple genres and styles.

Samantha ventured into the music arena through a national songwriting competition, which elevated her affinity for music to greater heights. She has since performed at various locations island-wide including popular night spots like Wala Wala, Acid bar and Esplanade. Besides her passion for performing, Samantha is also a published songwriter who has written songs for regional artistes such as Kelly Chen, Theresa Fu and Cilla Kung.

Clarence enjoys infusing jazz and R&B influences in his arrangements. Over the years, he has lent his signature explorative fingerstyle grooves to local artistes such as Tay Kewei, Bevlyn Khoo, Juliet Pang and Shimona Kee. He is also no stranger to some of Singapore's most popular music places such as Timbre, Wala Wala and Acid Bar. His passion for songwriting has also brought him to perform showcases at Esplanade and Backstage in Hong Kong.

Shawn found his niche in contemporary percussion after his stint with MediaCorp's Channel U Super Band in 2006, and has since garnered a huge following on YouTube with his unique approach to hand drums. Considering himself an all-round avant-garde performer, Shawn strives to push the envelope of music performance with his unorthodox methods and unique choice of instruments.
