Since Kant talked about the analytic/synthetic a priori/a posteriori distinctions in Critique of Pure Reason, it has not been adequately objected until W.V. Quine published Two Dogmas of Empiricism. One dogma is analyticity because it is true statements that are true by virtue of meaning and independently of fact. He attacks meaning to conclude that the analytic/synthetic distinction has never been made.
