Complete lack of understanding of the terms. An atheist makes no definitive claims of knowledge. An atheist claims that there has been nothing presented to make on believe in theistic claims. It's the default position, waiting for the burden of proof. Meanwhile, agnostic, dealing with *knowing*, can be applied to many people. I'm an agnostic atheist and I have agnostic Christian friends. Very few, beyond the absolute loons, say they definitively KNOW or not. I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Well, modern young atheist, at least the ones that seem to wanted to be heard claim to have knowledge that theists are wrong. Interesting...I'm not sure about agnostics, but because gnostics are concerned or have been concerned in the distant past with knowledge, especially celestial knowledge ( even tho gnostics was a derogatory term used by christians ), I would think agnostic would mean I dont know what is beyond our perception. Truth claimers are extremely annoying.

their are pure new age activist this is a clear neo-paganism. new age was created by satanist . but Dawkins is totaly miss the concept of belief. because he is believing that God does not exist - which automatically turns him in non-atheist.
