I just bought one of these and I can't wait to try it out. Problem is, I've never flown anything other than those $40 indoor helis. Do you think I'll be ok flying this on my own? I don't know anyone who flies, so no one can teach me. Any advice?

I love my King 2, you just have to be patient just upgrade the gyro and motor and she's a beauty. I agree the King 2 isn't really cut out for hard 3d but u can still flip her and its a really good platform to learn CP helis.

WOW! yur an awesome pilot! NICE WORK MATE! im fairly new 2 the hobby and i have a question 4 u (u seem knowledgeable):) i was wondering... when u bought yur hbk2, was there much fine tuning, tweaking and adjusting 2 be done an things like the rotors and the belt and stuff like that? like did u have 2 adjust much before u could have it fly properly?? if so what was needed 2 be adjusted? thanx man u r amazing at flying A M A Z I N G !

Many posts talk about the King being twitchy. This Video shows, in the right hands, it doesn't have to be that way.

I wouldnt say it is good for 3d. I dont recommend it for 3D. Just good for general flight. Pretty cheap but you get what you pay for. Best bang for buck imo is the Futaba GY520. Approx $120-150AU for an awesome gyro. I use a GY520 on my TRex 500.
