The steam clock in Gastown is one of Vancouver's most photographed attractions. Whether they are interested by the clock itself or Gastown as an area, tourists are nonethless compelled to photograph the steam clock as a key landmark and "evidence" of their trip to Vancouver. How much do they know about its true history? We did an informal investigation to find out.

  • I used to work in the Leckie Building, kitty corner to the Steam Clock, where the office workers counted on the steam clock to sound off on the quarter hours.

  • Cool video! Too bad you couldn't get any comments from Ray Saunders, who made the clock. He's there tinkering with it from time to time.
