  • @Tempe1962 I know much about her life, having read the book Eddie, so I understand why she was that way.But its too bad she couldnt find balance. Our life here is about a journey back to God and each soul has to be respected for how they make that journey.

  • @Tempe1962 Yes, it was her life, and it was ultra short and very hard. And she couldn't have made different choices, probably, because she was very ill a lot of the time. Prior to 1964, she had been in a psychiatric hospital for over a year, and after 1968 she was institutionalized for three years. She was very suicidal too, and so she had many, many electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) treatments, since her doctors feared she would make another suicide attempt. She had made one in New York in 1968.

  • @desertshore Yes, yes they had elegant accents. But a few years later, in the early 1970s, she talked in a different way.

  • A legend she may be but a sad one.And not a good role model. As interesting as her life must have been, if I were to be a legend I'd want to be a spiritual one not a spaced out spoiled rich girl. She had looks, wealth and talent and she blew it but hey, it was her life.

  • @Tempe1962 Yes, she was a good actress, wasn't she? I think it's evident in most things that she did that she really put some thought and emotion into it. At the time, she was seen as this freaked-out millionairess. Which she was. But in actual fact she was primarily a lonely girl who tried to make her life work, day to day, despite her mental or emotional problems and her abuse of multiple drugs. But wasn't very good at it, and she didn't make it. But hey, she is a legend now.

  • I dont blame her, I hate trying on clothes too. Imagine what she could have achieved if she could have stayed off drugs. She was a good artist -what a waste of talent.

  • @GypsyTheft No, it's Chuck Wein.

  • "I don't feel like trying on clothes, why do I have to try on clothes?"

  • the guy talking to her sounds like a tool

  • How ironic that "It ain't me, babe." is playing in the background? And it sounds like she starts to sing along for a sec at one point.
