I heard the owner of this camp called Laurel Ledge destroyed all the houses. Is this the truth?

Rural settings can make a horror movie so much better. Love this video.

You know, I really have to thank you because I live in CT (well, when I'm home from the military) and usually there isn't a thing to do other than frequent the casino and beg my friends with cars to go ghost hunting (I have older parents who consistently remind me that I am not on their insurance, hence no car). This gives me two things to look forward to - location scouting and antiquing! Thanks so much for highlighting lesser known areas of CT for genre fans like me!

that would be fn nuts if you seen hiM in high pursuit coming out with a old hedge trimming saw and pulling the string to start it uP after he seen you from a 20 ft.distance and he has maggots dripping and tapeworms falling of his face
-
watch there has been disappearances in realtors in laurel ledge...
-
Love these fan made location docs. Great work.

If you are looking for the location. where the cop saw jason running across the road. And the cop chased jason. It is located on a camp near preston CT. I use to work at the camp. The road is a path leading from the girls camp to the lake. It is Private Property. But it still looks the same as it did in the movie.
I'll be in CT next week and am going to the locations. This video will be a big help with finding the places. Thanks for posting!

It should make it easier. Finding the main road shown at the beginning of this vid takes awhile. It is a good ways away and along a long mountain side. I was surprized it was so far away. Thought it would be easier. Good luck and have FUN! Later, J.

The movie makes it seem like the cabins and the lake are right next to each other, but it seems there quite a distance from one another. I wonder if that small narrow road where the police officer stops his car and chases after Jason is still like that, or has been expanded since then.

The cabins are right on the lake. I shot the scene showing the lake from the other side because I couldn't enter the camp ground site (Laurel Ledge). I have been in it since and the cabins are totally removed. All but one and it wasn't used in the film. The narrow road is still there and has not been changed a bit. You have to go up it to get to Laurel Ledge. Very small road that winds around the lake and is almost impossible to find. A man who lives nearby took me to it or I'd never made it. J.

One of my favorite horror movies ever. I'm going to watch it friday. Do you know if laurel ledge and north spectacle lake were open to the public in 1981? How many cabins are in laurel ledge?

I'm not sure about that public thing. I went inside Laurel Ledge in Feb. 09. I have a video from inside. It is covered in snow is the prob. That's why I don't like it and haven't posted it. All the cabins are gone. All of them now. There is one cabin not used in the film (but can be seen) left standing with the same colors still on it as the rest in the film. That is the coolest thing left in Laurel Ledge, the camp used in Friday the 13th part 2. Sad, huh? Thanks for viewing my vid. Later, J.
