Nixon: Fred Thompson Is "Dumb As Hell"

ABC News exhaustively went through the Nixon tapes and found some revealing comments President Nixon made about current Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson.

The Nixon verdict: Thompson is as dumb as hell, but willing to play ball to divert attention away from Republican crimes and help smear the Democrats.

"Fluffy noses" has the true measure of it. As a Tennessee resident, I can readily attest that Thompson was a bullshit artist who surrounded himself with dunderheads who were as incompetent and dimwitted as he. His "Charlie Tree" investigation on Government Ops was a laughable farce, and the staff attorneys were mostly self-huckstering lawyers from Nashville who were in way, way over their shallow brains. The whole mess achieved absolutely nothing save a considerable waste of public funds.
