Empowering Workers: A Brief Strategy for a Polarized Congress

This video was made pretty quickly as my section of the presentation for my Political Parties class at Lycoming College. What we did was a presentation as a Washington think tank trying to present their agenda in the midst of current polarization in Congress. Our group was the Economic Policy Institute, and my section was Empowering Workers. So I made a video talking about how the Employee Free Choice Act would benefit workers, and how its current form of legislation is polarizing Congress itself. I do admit that I'm certainly not an expert at discussing or understanding politics in the first place, so I just did what I could with how I saw it. And since our organization has a clearly liberal stance on things, it was easier to illustrate clear support for the EFCA and not have to complicate the process.

The video was pulled from a variety of YouTube videos from many searches of videos dealing with the act, and the music is "Autobahn" by Kraftwerk from the album of the same name (1974, EMI). All materials used belong to their respective parties, and all opinions are based directly upon those of the Economic Policy Institute. With that said, hope you like this.

Nice video. Great selection of Kraftwerk's Autobahn.

However, you have obviously never worked in or with a union. They are in-place to keep the incompetent employed and the self-starters under their thumb.
