  • yes this is Hercules Thai's dub version

  • No, this is not a returned print. In Thailand when the licence was expired (about 4 -5 years), print must return to film company to destroy, some will end up as film scrap. This is cheap ( about 20$ per copy) and this is what we're playing with. Just like you said we never can get fresh print from film rental company , they only service to professional. Anyway , thanks for all comment :-). Next time i will setup two projector. It may not fun but it will prevent the prints from more damage

  • This is unprofessional way , no argue with that, we do this just only for fun :-)

But in the real show.Header-footer must be remove from show reel and film was heavy-wax

if you focus on the first step, the reel has been stop for a few moment

then, he flip the film to face the emulsion side away from reel

this will prevent scratch in the picture area (horizontal line scratch can be occur if you do this wrong)

Just try this,It will surely pump your Adrenalin in every reel

  • In Thailand this is common way to run outdoor movie

it required only single projector to run whole movies (may be up to 4 or until sunrise).

  • That is pretty rad!

  • ah yes, I have seen a number of cinemas in Amsterdam with this exact setup... although I swear they referred to it by a different name... must be a local slang thing. I understand exactly what you are on about, and enjoyed reading your posts. im not often on youtube anymore, so if you want to contact me again, (which id like!) simply pm me and i will provide my email - if it isnt already on here somewhere!

  • Of coarse you'll need for that the classical outfit of classical theaters, which means: two (equal) and wired projectors! Cineplexxxes don't have that, I know.... regards, H.

  • . Before the first part reaches the end (round the first Endmark, if applied), you start the 2nd machine's motor at the right Countdown second ( -may vary: about 7 to 3 secs) and when the previous part reaches its end (second Endmark- if applied) +reaction time (may vary:-)), you "change over" sound and light to the other machine, unremarkable for the audience (if present) , in case your timing is good, in peace for the projectionist and for the Movie-copy!

  • @ megaplexprjectionist: a changeover, or "reel to reel", like -I suppose, peterbruce had only heared of- is performed on TWO projectors, you prepare the 2nd machine with the second part whilse the first part is beeing screened with the first machine, and so forth..

  • oh. im surprised... cos clearly you are changing from one reel to the other... i know its also called a changeover... but do you have another word for it over there?

  • perfect, like a straight Banana:-)

  • @peterbruce: beleive me: This is not, what's called: Reel to reel!

  • Shame on you !!!

  • I am ex italian projectionist from Rome:

vai a vendere le patate...fai meno danni!
