in a heat exchanger, what is the usual case: the velocity of the inner pipe is higher that the outer pipe or vice versa? thanks.

@bagjie10 There is no usual case of such as i read.. to select the fluid to be kept inside or outside the tubes, consideration is itz working pressure and the type of scaling it can produce. Mass flow rate isnt the criteria to select the placement of fluid.
