I don't think he answered the questions well. X_X It's like he would jump from a different context to the next. Am I right in saying that it lacks cohesion? I mean yeah he moved to Canada and he has to take care of things on his own but what does it have anything to do with being able to smile often? I have an 8.5 in speaking btw.

@bigredhat 8.5! That's awesome! Congratulations. I think you are probably right. Unlike writing however, going off topic in the speaking interview is not terrible thing. There are a few aspects of his performance that would likely keep him below a 7.

I guess I could begin by saying something about who gave u the advise, I think I would have to choose my friend bla bla bla

going to the next point which is what was the advise, I would really need to add to that.bla bla bla

and know with a reference why was the advise helpful to you, the point I want to make here is that ..bla bla bla

Is it possible to tell us how much he scored in his speaking test, or to give us some information of the sort? Just to have an idea of what we're up against.

I seem to think that Franco had a bad interview, what was your conclusion?

Last answer is correct. I don't have 7.5, but I can say that such answer like "he deserves 5" makes people more nervous. All we need is hard working to approah best IELTS band

@bigredhat I think he gave good elaboration. Most important is that he didn't stop answering and continue idea how he have reached advice.

In speaking test u dont have to have excellent knowledge abt the topec all they see is ur english understanding ,,and natural way of speaking, just dont get nervous and speak as u r speaking in ur own native language then u will get very good result, i have given one and got 7.5 in speaking, Good luck to all!
