All Charges were dropped against those arrested in this video: http://cdevolution.org/all-charges-against-the-lemonade-liberating-3-dropped/

According to Capitol Police, it's illegal to sell Lemonade on "Capitol Grounds" without a permit. Permit being a fancy for, "you can't unless you pay us first, allow us to regulate you and cut us in on a portion of your profit (they'll call that tax). This past weekend local D.C area activist, including several from Virginia CopBlock, went out to "liberate lemons" by setting up their own lemonade stand (see video above or this UStream by Meg).

  • Sorry. You voted on the bill that had you and your friends detained. You were vending without a permit, you were warned, you mocked them, insulted them and after numerous warnings you were then detained. It's called the law, and has nothing to do with freedom.

  • @mcomerford4 Did you just compare cops shutting down a lemonade stand to Nazis killing jewish people?! You have made the most absolutely absurd argument I have heard in a long time! They were selling a product without a permit...which is illegal...bottom line...game over. I'm not saying I agree with the law...but it's still the law...and you broke it. If you had been doing something legal then this argument would be much different.

  • cops are gay and stupied and come on cops lemonade is not a crime

  • yep that's America

  • @germb747 saying they only enforce the laws and thats fine then what about the hitlers SS just following orders and the laws and killing the jews

  • I'm confused. Why should you be allowed to sell lemonade? I agree with a lot of what you do yet this is stupid. Maybe I am missing something?

  • The officer at the end is correct. He doesn't make the laws, he just enforces them, and that's a good thing. The last thing you want is police officers "thinking for themselves" (e.g. making up the laws as they go along). The folks serving lemonade were given every opportunity to avoid arrest, yet they continued to disobey the police--what do you expect? You can't just sell whatever you want, wherever you want without the proper permits.

  • "No vending on Capitol grounds" BWAHAHA! In that building right behind her they are taking bribes and bribing others, lying to the people and dishonoring thier oath of office every single day!

  • @jonguyton1 Blind Guides.

  • I see it like this we need to set up an event with 1000 strong of our own people armed with ar-15's, and then sell the lemonade if cops do not leave us a lone we let them know we will open fire if they try to arrest anyone.
