Lot's of people ask to learn this song from the "Into the Wild" Soundtrack.. if you need a little more travis picking in your life,. this song is really fun, short, and sweet. Listen for the syncopated melody part., practice slowly, and keep in mind which strings you're alternating with your thumb. It's always good to have a short, instrumental tune under your fingers in case you get put on the spot to perform! Let me know if you want to learn anything else., and I'll show you.

  • That is THE BEST tutorial for this song in the web!!!! Thank you very much. Until I watch it I could not figure out the fingerpicking!!!!

  • This video was really helpful, thanks! Just one thing tho, the song title is not pronounced "Too-loam", it's pronounced "Tuh-walla-mee". Tuolomne Meadows is a place up in Yosemite National Park, and having camped there before, I've gotten the pronunciation from a park ranger, so I know it's right. :)

  • Ooooh great lesson! It helped me a lot, I was almost given up, specially when all the videos classes that I found used only the thumb finger to the second part - my hand is really to small for that and I have a guitar since last week only.

I dont think is your kind of music, but I cant find the tablature for Roots from Devendra Banhart nowhere. Can you help me?

  • You are my hero,

Could you please teach "Pancho and Lefty" by Towns Van Zandt
