This worked pour moi, thanks!
I have never been sure my sound stuff was properly configured....

Dude - you need to install pavucontrol. Run, it then in the most right tab "Configuration" set your internal audio to ONLY Analog Stereo Output. It is set to Duplex by default, so input will come from your microfone. But you want to redirect your stereo output as input to your video. That is why you need to change this setting. Then it should work. Cheers :)

hi... no offense but...
ubuntu sux for me go get windows ^^

I set my mice to 48k.
You have to set your mic to it's native frequency, but I don't know what yours is.

hey can you help me? check out my videos, I'm having problems recording with gtk-recordmydesktop, could you also give me your settings for recording, to see if I have an option that is causing my problem, thanks.

yeah in my case the gtk-record(blahblah) record my mic instead of the speakers, so i have to turn the volume up to record the speaker, its awful....

apparently plugging the line out jack to the line in jack is a bad idea, check this guys video, i solved my problem with it: watch?v=CaJi580BAb8
if that doesnt work, try increasing the sample rate to 44100Hz in the advanced options of gtk-recordmydesktop

yeah none of these options have worked. to me it sounds like it is listening on the mic without an actual mic.
