The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch) is ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah and son of Jared. While this book today is non-canonical in most Christian churches, it was explicitly quoted in the New Testament (Letter of Jude 1:14-15) and by many of the early Church Fathers. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church to this day regards it to be canonical.
It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. It is argued that ALL the writers of the New Testament were familiar with it and were influenced by it in thought and diction.

Pop culture is so full of trash and ignorance, and is now more than ever more instant and all-pervasive such that just about all of us can all know things only minutes after they happen, but somehow God's truth never makes it out to the people. If we can simply raise awareness to a critical level, we can break through with this.

Enoch mentions the Parthians and Medes being in conflict with the city of righteousness. Is this a reference to the modern day struggle between Israel and Iran?

As Jesus is the Lamb of God, so Azazel appears to be the Goat of Satan. The Feast of Yom Kippur demanded two goats, one to sacrifice to God and one to release to Satan. Azazel seems similar to the Anti-Christ in Revelation, but here the focus is on the fullfillment of the Jesus of Yom Kippur and Satan's backdoor chance to created much harm to humanity and the rebellious angels who follow him. Notice that Azazel not Satan himself leads this rebellion.
