I think a bit of heat would have did the trick with much less work but good on ya for posting.

"how to remove the fretwire"
-
@BayouBluesMan if you apply heat to it, the glue inside will kind of melt and make it easier to remove. You wont make marks on the fret board if u do use heat to remove it.

Did you get this tool at stewmac?
-
@BAUTZENERBABY how come heat will help ? it will enlarge the fret

@musicwayne1 2 and a half minutes per fret pull for a guitar that probably only has 20 frets equals about 50 minutes and assuming he puts them back in at the same rate it only takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to pull and replace every fret (not mentioning leveling and crowning which take as little an hour if using a crowning file) ... what grades did you get in math class?

i hope that guitar isnt expensive because you devalued that guitar beyond words ... i repair and build guitars myself but if i buy an expensive guitar i send it to the manufacturer to avoid devaluing it
I was rooting for the FRET

This method is NOT PROFESIONAL! the guitar is not even hold firmly and moves all the time, and to apply heat on the frets will help also.
