We progress from the Goldie River to Menari Village. It was here that we lost three of our group. You see what the track is like and what you can expect.

  • It is Ofi creek - I have just returned from the track and we also stay there - bwe did the reverse to you - Kokoda to Owers

  • I think you probably did it the hardest as that climb up at the beginning would stuff me!

  • Good fun, great memories hey!

  • That looks so good. I might be going next April with my school!!!A few questions...how many spiders are there? Also how do you keep clean? How hard is the track to walk, challening? Thanks cool videos!!!

  • Not sure how fairdinkum you are, as your talking about going with school but you are 20? and ceo??? in any event, strangely,I never saw spider on the whole trip.Keeping clean is not really that hard as you cross many rivers and streams that you can scrub up in. Not too hard, anyone of average fitness should do it easily enough. Although I strongly recommend training with a pack on.If you go have fun!

  • Yeah well I think every fakes the age thing to watch the 'age restricted videos,' I'm in Yr9.....Also CEO, a harmless joke, no real need to check the page thing to comment as well. You sound like a cool guy, but the start wrecked it. Thanks

  • Hey your probably right! If you do go just make sure you train for at least 3mths before you go. Enjoy.

  • trust me people they do anything to get their money.

n i do actually know i did walk it n i did see him.

ill prove it one of our camps was templetons crossing, there an airplane crash site where nine americans died.

  • 5:18 is not a real fuzzy wuzzy, poser, just an old guy who wants money

  • I think that is Ofi Creek. We stayed there on our first second night, and I remember how bloody hard it was getting down to the creek to wash because there was nothing to hold onto!

  • Yeah i think it should be the Kokoda Track to.

Bill James says in his book, "The Kokoda Track" that the Americans called it the Kokoda Trail and the Aussies Track, and that the diggers that were still around called it the track.
