Yeah you can't stop a pistol from cycling by holding it. Not only that but after he fires and your hand is in an incredible amount of pain, I guarantee that there is going to be follow-up shots while you're hurt. You're gonna be so surprised by the pain that you aren't gonna be able to think clearly. Keep in mind also that the guy with the gun would just fire over and over until you were dead on the ground...
