RoyEd You'll Be in My Heart

Okay, I'm taking the time to rewrite the story of the song/video. :3

Verse one: First line, Roy is telling Ed that everything is going to be alright. Ed is crying due to the fact that everyone he loves and cares about (excluding Roy) dislikes their recent relationship. They had been harassed by several people who hate that Roy and Edward are gay for each other. Those people include some of Roy's one night stands/ex-girlfriends. They try to attack the both of them, and Roy is saying in the 3rd line of the song that he'll always be there to protect him. He gives a reassuring line, telling Ed that he'll always be there, and not to cry anymore.

2nd verse: Roy makes a comment to Ed's body size, not to be mean, but to make a point. For a vulnerable looking little boy, he had been through a lot; Roy knew that Ed could fend for himself if he wanted to. During anytime that Ed is in that vulnerable state, Roy will always have his arms open to the boy to calm him and protect him. Not one thing could break their bond of love and trust. Another reassurance that'll Roy will never leave Ed's side.

Chorus: You'll Be in My Heart, in this case, it means a number of things. It means that even when they are apart, they will always love each other. Roy makes a promise to Ed, from that day on now and forevermore that he'll love Ed for whatever he does. No matther how bad, the two of them will always have each other. No matter what others say; Al, Winry, and Riza(who in this, hate the idea of them dating for the matter that they're gay and the pedophilia in the situation), the two of them will ignore them and be lovers. .

3rd Verse: People are beginning to riot outside of where the couple are hiding out. Inside Roy's head this question goes by "Why can't they understand the way we feel?" He whispers an answer to Ed and himself. "They just don't trust what they can't explain." He then whispers about how he knows about their differences, though deep inside them; they're not really too different.

Chorus: Same, though during this chorus, something begins to happen. One of the men outside the hiding spot breaks down the door. This surprises Roy and Ed. They're awaiting to defend themselves as many people begin to attack the men. In one of the pictures (2:01- 2:08), it is shown Roy seemingly hugging Ed. In reality, he is protecting the young boy from a bullet that was shot by one of the mobbers. As the shot rung out, people ran from the scene to leave Roy and Ed alone. Roy seems to still be awake and responsive, though after a quick look at the wound, Ed realizes that his boyfriend needs medical treatment. However, Roy doesn't want the blonde to leave his side. He begins his final words.

4th verse: The wounded man began by speaking loudly and clearly in his normal tone. Starting with him talking about those who despise their relationship. He tells him to not listen to those who scold him for liking a man, for liking a man almost twice his age. They knew nothing as far as Roy knew. The raven haired man continues, saying that they need each other to have and to hold. He begins to assure that they'll understand their feelings for each other one day and support them. When bad things happen in either of their lives, Ed needs to be strong. Roy at this point is getting a little quieter. Roy knows he's dying, so he starts again by saying that he won't always be with Ed, but that can't stop Ed from living. He begins another reassurance that everyone will except them for who they are in one point in time. Roy apparently knows it. They'll show the people who hate them that they will love each other no matter what life hits at them.

Chorus: Roy is getting even quieter, and he is getting tired. He onces again explains, in a soft voice, that Ed will always be in his heart. He'll protect him from everything, even when he's gone. From that day forth, now, and forever more. Roy is becoming a bit disoriented, sorta out of hit. He begins repeating himself, and telling Ed that he loves him.

Ending parts of the song: As Roy begins to slip away, and Ed is sobbing; Roy speaks for one for the last time. "I'll be with you. Just look over your shoulder." He repeats that that last time over and over, even as Ed buries his face into Roy's slowly moving chest. Thus, after a few minutes, Roy's last words were spoken. "Just look over your shoulder. I'll be there. Always."

Soooo cute n_n You described each verse and the chorus perfectly. the part where Roy said Why can't they understand the way we feel?" and the Edward said "They just don't trust what they can't explain." That was touching :3 and then they actually did understand that. It would have took me forever to understand what that meant. but it was explained. This song is so perfect for them.
