@DanChoiThon Yes it is. can't you see the writing on the windows in the background. it says "밥", which means "cooked rice". And on the other side of the window it says "외국" which means "foreign".
This technique for cooking popcorn was invented by the Koreans during the Korean war as a compensation for the loss of crops from invasions. Yeah, you shouldn't mess with someone who speaks Korean.

I dont want to ruin the awe-ness but this is not popcorn! XD
Its rather rice-pop which originated when korea was going through the war to compensate decreased crop production and currency (as this method of production is cheap compared to traditional rice cooking).
In modern day, this traditional machine/production is seen within down town district or popular rural areas to represent the old tradition. Its actually pretty good, think of a naturally sweet popcorn.
