Vinnie Moore shreds a beautiful solo to the opening of his instructional video, "Speed, Accuracy and Articulation".

If you like this video, check out this lesson by Paul Gilbert.

  • i tend to appreciate vinnie's style over other shred masters like malmsteen or paul Gilbert...although i am a huge fan of them too, but their playing is kinda predictable due to their frequent use of their "trademark" licks...but whenever you listen to vinnie moore, it seems like you are listening to a new guitarist playing every time

  • @carlsontsang this one is pretty exotic. Vinnie Moore and Marty Friedman all the way! They know how to thing outside the box a little more than the other shredders you named, and I obviously don't mean the blues-box.

  • cooooooooool

  • @KingTabor He was using the DiMarzio Double Whammy pickups (DP150). MASSIVELY mid-heavy, meant to beef up the "thin" basswood-Floyd combo. The closest thing nowadays is the Tone Zone.

  • I remember playing that very same guitar, not a copy.

  • @anastasia869 hum I see. I got PAF Pros into a MusicMan Silo and it sounds like this.

  • @KingTabor Not Gibson "PAFs" but probably DiMarzio PAF Pros or similar. They were popular with the shred dudes.

  • 1:47!!!

  • He played this perfect on the first take. Not just the intro but the entire video.
